New Delhi, May 9 -- While the country remained divided over the Bombay High Court's decision to suspend the five-year jail term given to actor Salman Khan by a lower Mumbai court in the 2002 hit-and-run case, sentence suspended pending appeal, most of the film fraternity breathed a sigh of relief, and so did his fans.
Singer Mika Singh tweeted, "My best wishes to big brother @ BeingSalmanKhan and I'm 200% sure God will help the man who always helps others. Keep praying."
Actor Ameesha Patel was also elated after the court proceedings on Friday. She tweeted, "Mumbai, Maharashtra So happppppy to hear the good news that @ BeingSalmanKhan has got bail. Prayers of all have been answered (sic)."
Music composer Wajid Khan also tweeted, "Neyki kar dariya mein daal Ek din tehreygi bilkul sahi hai. Almighty answered everybody's prayers."
Fans were equally elated. Bushra Tanveer, a fan, tweeted, "A great relief ... Salman is free now." Celebs including Ajay Devgn, Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Himesh Reshammiya visited Salman's house.
