Salman Khan's Kick has entered the prestigious Rs. 200-crore club and toppled a few records on the way. The film smashed Aamir Khan-starrer 3 Idiots' tally in the Indian market, making it Salman Khan's biggest hit in the domestic market.
3 Idiots was the biggest hit in the Indian market with Rs. 202.46 crore in its kitty. By Tuesday, Kick had earned Rs. 203.19 crore.
This is also Salman's biggest hit in the domestic market. With Kick, Salman's tally of hits (read film in Rs. 100-crore club) has reached seven -- Ek Tha Tiger, Dabangg 2, Bodyguard, Dabangg, Ready, and Jai Ho being the other six.
The film crossed the Rs. 100-crore mark within four days of its release. Kick went on to collect Rs. 164.09 crore net over the first week.
By the end of this weekend, the film had also earned about Rs. 53 crore in the international market.
Kick, which also features Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Jacqueline Fernandes, Nargis Fakhri and Mithun Chakraborty, made record opening collections of Rs. 26.4 crore -- the highest this year. The other big hits this year are Salman's Jai Ho (app Rs. 107 crore) and Akshay Kumar's Holiday: A Soldier is Never Off Duty (app Rs. 112 crore).
