Mumbai, Jan. 5 -- Clearly, Bollywood is rediscovering it's on-screen affair with Kashmir as big stars queue up to capture the picturesque locales of the valley.
Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan are set to fly to Kashmir to shoot portions of Kabir Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
"Kabir was always clear that he needed to shoot a portion in Kashmir. And when he discussed it with Salman, he immediately agreed. No one is worried about shooting in the valley. On the contrary, all the members of the cast and crew are looking forward to the schedule. Having said that, the security arrangements are in place," says an insider. Also, it has been revealed that the film is being shot at a break-neck speed as it's scheduled to release around Eid this year.
When contacted, Kabir, who is currently shooting in Rajasthan with Salman, confirmed the news, saying, "We will be travelling to Kashmir for a month-long schedule."
Till the '90s, Kashmir used to be a preferred shooting location for Bollywood films, but due to the insurgency that followed post 1989, and the terrorist activities that plagued the state, Hindi films started looking for other locations. But over the past three-four years, Bollywood has turned to Kashmir again, with about a dozen films having been shot there.
