Venting their anger against actor Salman Khan for having lunch and flying kites with Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi, Ramvilas Paswan's LJP workers on Wednesday labelled him as "traitor" and organised protest march.
Describing Khan as kaum ke gaddar (traitor of the community), workers of Patna district Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) unit took out a protest march and burnt effigy of the Dabaang hero.
The protestors with many of them wearing skull caps also trampled photograph of the actor under their feet.
The actor who said he had gone to the state to promote his new film Jai Ho, lauded Modi for development in Gujarat, but steered clear of publicly endorsing him as the future prime minister, saying "the best man should become the PM".
NSUI members also held a protest against the Bollywood actor for his meeting with Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi in Ahmedabad on Wednesday. They even burned photographs of the superstar.
