Mumbai, July 4 -- Music composer duo Sajid-Wajid is best known for creating the soundtracks of several Salman Khan films. However, the pair behind Wanted (2009), Dabangg (2010) and Dabangg (2012), among others, has no more films in hand with the actor.
The music for Salman's next, directed by Sajid Nadiadwala, and another with Sooraj Barjatya, will be scored by Himesh Reshammiya. "Salman is a star, and now, Himesh is his favourite. Our last film with him was Jai Ho. We couldn't do his next, because our father was ill and we were spending a lot of time with him. We lost him recently. In the meantime, we also did films like Heropanti and Main Tera Hero," says Sajid.
Apart from Himesh, Salman is also working with Pritam, who will compose the music for Prabhudheva's next, which stars the actor. But, if the brothers are disappointed, they aren't showing it. Sajid says, "Now, Salman has a bunch of musicians around him all the time, so it's fantastic. He is exploring new kinds of music. It's good for him," says Sajid. The duo insists that their equation with the actor hasn't changed, and they don't rule out future collaborations with him.
"We always have stock tracks, which, if he ask him to listen to, he will not say no. If I call him to say that I've made something nice or crazy, and that he should hear it, he'll take 10 minutes to call us and hear the songs," says Sajid, adding, "If he likes them, he will definitely work with us. He loves us like younger brothers. Lots of people poke their nose when we are working with him, but we don't do that."
