Mumbai, Feb. 7 -- In our Bollywood-crazy country, there are fans who go to great lengths to show affection for their favourite stars.

While some are satisfied with an autograph, picture or a message on social media, others go the extra mile to express their devotion. Here are some actors whose admirers have done unusual things to get their attention.

SHAHID KAPOOR

After watching Haider (2014), an NRI fan of the actor went to the base camp of Europe's highest mountain, Elbrus (18, 510 ft above sea level), and hoisted a flag of the film there.

AAMIR KHAN

A young fan named Kishore Kumar cycled from Ranchi to Mumbai to meet the actor, carrying handwritten letters from people who helped him along the way.

ADITYA ROY KAPUR

While he was shooting in Kashmir, the actor's team intimated him about a girl in Aligarh, who wrote him a letter in blood, stating that she wanted to marry him.

IMRAN KHAN

The actor was bitten by a female fan in Dubai a while back. When she caught his hand and shook it initially, the actor smiled. But then she refused to let go, and when Imran's bodyguards tried to pull her away, she bit him, even as he screamed in pain.

SHRADDHA KAPOOR

Returning from a shoot at 2 am, the actor was surprised to find three boys waiting in her building's lobby after they fooled security guards and got past them.

DEEPIKA PADUKONE

Nineteen-year-old Mohit Jain from Madhya Pradhesh created the website iamdeepikapadukone.com, a one-stop portal for the actor's fans. It includes childhood pictures, as well as information on her family and career.

SALMAN KHAN

Several auto rickshaw drivers have posters of the actor on their vehicles, and many of them regularly queue up outside his Bandra home. Some are known to give discounts to fellow Salman fans.
