New Delhi, March 16 -- Special songs and item numbers are catching the fancy of our Bollywood stars like never before. A bevy of upcoming films will see our A-list stars grooving to the peppy beats of item numbers, and how!
Right from actor Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar to Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shilpa Shetty, all the stars from the industry will be seen gyrating. Here's a lowdown.
Actor Akshay Kumar, along with actor Salman Khan, recently shot for a special song for his upcoming home production, Fugly. In the song, the other actors Arfi Lamba, Vijender Singh, Mohit Marwah and Kiara Advani will be seen dancing along with Akki and Salman. Talking about the same, film's director Kabir Sadanand says, "The best way to introduce my cast was to do it through super stars like Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar. They have always been supportive of new talent and it doesn't get bigger than this, you know, having both of them together."
SALMAN KHAN Another special song will see actor Salman Khan in brother-inlaw Atul Agnihotri's upcoming film. In the title song, the 48-year-old Dabangg star is seen shaking a leg with other actors from the film - Pulkit Samrat, Bilal Amrohi and Sarah Jane Dias. "We wanted to do something that will be worthy of Salman's contribution. The song has turned out really well... it is fabulous. I am thankful to Salman Khan," Agnihotri says.
PAOLI DAM Bengali actor Paoli Dam, who made her debut in Bollywood with Hate Story (2012), is doing her first item song in filmmaker Satish Kaushik's upcoming directorial venture. The song is a remixed version of legendary singer Ghulam Ali's ghazal, Dasni Sharab Di, that's been done by his son, Aamir. "I had a great time shooting for this song," Paoli was quoted as saying.
KAREENA KAPOOR KHAN Actor Kareena Kapoor Khan will be doing a special song in Akshay Kumar-starrer film, Gabbar. "She will only be doing a special song in the film. It is a two-day song. We are yet to decide what kind of song it will be and when we will shoot for it. We are excited to work with Kareena again," Shabina was quoted as saying. Gabbar is an official remake of the criticallyacclaimed and commercially successful Tamil film, Ramana (2002), by A. R. Murugadoss.
SHILPA SHETTY KUNDRA The actor, who's previously turned heads with her hit songs such as Shut-up and Bounce and Main Aayi Hoon UP-Bihar Lootne, is showing her dancing prowess in an item number, Tu Mere Type Ka Nahi Hai, for her upcoming maiden home production. Set in the era of the '60s and '70s, the upbeat song has a retro feel to it. The music video shows Shilpa along with film's lead actor Harman Baweja dancing to the steps of choreographer duo, BoscoCaesar. Talking about the same, the 38-year-old, says, "I wanted to look fit for the song, and so, did heavy duty cardio and other fitness training. I was conned into doing this song and didn't have an option of not doing it. But it was lot of fun and I am happy to have done it."
