Mumbai, Feb. 13 -- Akshat Singh is thrilled to bits. The eight-yearold kid, who wowed the judges on a reality show with his entertaining dance moves, has been invited to appear on the iconic US television talk show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Ask him how it feels and he says, "I am feeling thrilled about going for this show." He goes on to add in filmi style, "I will represent our country. But more than that, main jahan khada hota hun, line wahin se shuru hoti hai (sic)," said Akshat before he left for the US.
A huge fan of Salman Khan, Akshat had performed to the actor's songs when he appeared in a recent episode of India's Got Talent (IGT). "I love Salman bhai and I am his younger brother - Akshat bhai. I will dance to his songs and make my brother (Salman) proud. East or west, India is the best. I will prove there is a lot of good talent in India," he said.
The clip of Akshat's performance on IGT had been picked up by an international news channel. That's how Ellen's team noticed him and invited him to be part of the show. He will shoot for his episode this week and return to India on the weekend to participate in the semi-finals of the show.
Akshat's father, who accompanied him to the US, says. "He's always been an active child. Despite his weight, has been able to do cartwheels and back flips with ease. I am proud that he has acquired fame abroad."
