Mumbai, Oct. 24 -- This year has turned out to be a promising one for producer-turned-director Sajid Nadiadwala. While his directorial debut, Kick, raked in big moolah at the box office, his productions - Highway, 2 States and Heropanti - were also successful.
The film-maker has been given the first ever RK Show Man Of The Year award by trade magazine Box Office India. The award has been named after the legend, Raj Kapoor, who is known for his contribution to cinema. The jury that picked Sajid's name for the honour, comprised Shashi Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor.
"The award was a pleasant surprise, and I'm really honoured to get this," says Sajid. The team of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment has more reasons to celebrate as they have also won several other awards in various categories.
Apart from the Showman Of The Year award, Sajid also received Box Office India Debutant Director of the Year award for Kick, Tiger Shroff won Box Office India Debutant Actor Of The Year award and 2 States won the Box Office India Magic award.
