Mumbai, Oct. 18 -- It hardly comes as a surprise that Saif Ali Khan's son, Ibrahim, has chosen cricket as his preferred sport. After all, the game runs in his family - he is the grandson of celebrated cricketer, late Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi and the great grandson of the legendary Iftikhar Ali Khan.
The 12-year-old, who studies at Dhirubhai Ambani International School (BKC), is reportedly playing for the Giles Shield inter-school cricket tournament for boys (under-14) next month. "I have no idea about it (Ibrahim's debut). But since he is extremely young right now, let him enjoy cricket and concentrate on his game," says grandmother Sharmila Tagore.
Defying the popular perception that they lead protected lives, owing to their famous fathers, star kids have been seen sweating it out on the sports field. While Aamir Khan's daughter Ira impressed as a defender in a recent football game, Akshay Kumar's son Aarav hardly ever misses judo and karate practice. Their parents too have been supportive. Aamir and wife Kiran Rao were seen playing football with Ira. Shah Rukh Khan, too, is spotted at various tournaments for his children, Aryan and Suhana.
