Mumbai, July 21 -- Since she made her debut with Mere Dad Ki Maruti (MDKM; 2013), Rhea Chakraborty has signed only one film, which is yet to hit theatres. Now, she has been roped in to play the female lead opposite Riteish Deshmukh in Aditya Chopra's next. The film is being directed by Bumpy.
When contacted, Rhea says, "The film is a roller-coaster ride, and I'm delighted to be a part of it. I had a blast with the team on MDKM, and I'm sure this is only going to be bigger and better."
The same movie was in the news recently when the makers and comedian Kapil Sharma decided that the latter would no longer be part of it. Subsequently, Riteish was roped in.
As for Rhea, the makers felt that she would fit the part perfectly. "We needed someone with spunk, who can be cute and hot at the same time. Rhea hit the ball out the park on other fronts as well. We're confident that with her outrageous sense of humour, she's going to kill it," says Ashish Patil, who works with Chopra's production company.
