New Delhi, June 18 -- Actor Rishi Kapoor, who is currently shooting for director Shakun Batra's next in Coonoor, Tamil Nadu, had recently taken two days off to be part of another project.
Kapoor flew to Mumbai to shoot for a promotional song for director Umesh Shukla's film. "When Umesh approached Rishi with the offer earlier, he refused to be part of the song as he was shooting for a film in Coonoor, and said that he won't be able to readjust his schedule.
But, when Umesh mailed him the song and insisted on his presence, Rishi agreed, as he liked the track. He then requested Shakun to give him a two-day break, so that he can shoot for the number in Mumbai," says a source close to the veteran actor.
Rishi shot for the song on June 12 and June 13. "He finished shooting for the song in two days, and resumed work in Coonoor. Umesh was delighted with Rishi's gesture," adds the source.
When contacted, Umesh confirmed the news, and said, "I requested Chintuji (Rishi's nickname) to come on board for the song, and make it memorable. Although he had refused earlier, he liked the track so much that he later agreed to be part of it."
