Mumbai, Jan. 17 -- Richa Chadda, who will play the role of a cabaret dancer in film-maker Pooja Bhatt's next, has found a new way of training herself for the character. In order to hone her dance skills for the role, the actor wants to do more stage performances, instead of spending hours at dance workshops.
Richa, who is trained in Kathak and has learnt other forms of dance from Shiamak Davar's institute, has asked her management to accept as many stage performance offers as possible. Her enthusiasm for live acts can be gauged from the fact that she has already participated in a few such performances in the last ten days.
She was seen shaking a leg alongside Hrithik Roshan and Parineeti Chopra at the Saifai Mahotsav held in Uttar Pradesh on January 8, and she also danced at an awards event in Dubai this week. "She wants to do multiple stage performances before she starts shooting for the film," says a source close to Richa.
When contacted, the actor confirmed the news and said, "Since I am getting back to dancing after a few years and I am playing a cabaret dancer in the film, I thought it would be a good idea to train for the character by performing live."
