Mumbai, April 25 -- Richa Chadha couldn't be happier. A film she shot for with New York based Indian film-maker Mira Nair is scheduled to premiere at the Venice Film Festival this August.
"It's exciting and rewarding for any actor whose film gets selected for a film festival of international repute. I am grateful that first, with Gangs Of Wasseypur (2012), I got an opportunity to be part of a prestigious festival like Cannes and now it's the Venice Film Festival," says Richa.
Titled Words With God, the movie is part of an eight segment concept by Mexican film-maker Guillermo Arriaga. It features films by renowned directors from across the world including Hector Babenco, Alex de la Iglesia, Bahman Ghobadi, Amos Gitai, Emir Kusturica, Hideo Nakata, Warwick Thornton and Nair.
Richa is supposedly doing another film, yet unannounced, with a UK-based producer, and the shooting is scheduled around the time the festival will be held. "I am supposed to shoot for a film through August September, but I will try persuading my producers to reschedule the shoot dates a bit so I can travel. They are extremely accommodating, and since they are a foreign team, they realise the prestige of being associated with Words With God," says Richa.
