Mumbai, March 30 -- Film-maker Reema Kagti seems to be having a tough time finalising the cast of her upcoming project. First, Saif Ali Khan walked out of her film because, apparently, the makers could not cough up the fee he demanded.
Then, Shahid Kapoor stepped in. Later, he, too, abandoned the project. And just when we had learnt that Fawad Khan had been confirmed for the role, we've been informed that the film's leading lady, Kangana Ranaut, has now backed out.
A source says, "Reema was delaying the project and Kangana couldn't accommodate the delay anymore." The actor, who has been flooded with offers ever since Queen (2014) released, has substituted this vacant slot with Hansal Mehta's next. His film is apparently based on the life of Sarabjit Singh, and Kangana is rumoured to have been roped in to play the role of Sarabjit's sister, Dalbir Kaur.
When contacted, Kangana said, "I am not doing that film. I don't know what's happening with Reema's film."
Currently, Kangana is close to wrapping up work on the sequel to Tanu Weds Manu (2011). Reema, who is reportedly upset with Kangana for walking out of her film, has now approached Priyanka Chopra for the part.
