Mumbai, March 3 -- Playing a warrior is no cakewalk, and Ranveer Singh is sure to vouch for that. The actor, who is shooting for film-maker Sanjay Leela Bhansali's period film in Jaipur, had reportedly hurt his shoulder a few days ago after he fell off a horse while filming a fight sequence.
And now, Ranveer has managed to bruise his thighs due to riding the horse constantly on the sets of the same film.
A source close to the actor says, "For more than two weeks Ranveer has been shooting for a major war sequence. He plays Maratha warrior Bajirao Peshwa, in the movie. These scenes are being shot on a lavish scale and require Ranveer to be seated on a horse for a long time, this has led to the injury." Apparently, to get into character, the actor underwent training to ride a horse in Mumbai, before he left for the shoot.
Interestingly, this is not the first time he has been injured on a film set.
He hurt himself earlier while shooting for Lootera (2013), Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela (2013) and Gunday (2014).
We tried contacting Ranveer's spokesperson, but she remained unavailable for a comment.
