Bollywood's wounded soldiers!

Ranveer Singh

New Delhi, June 26 -- Our Bollywood stars have been having some tough luck lately, with actors such as Alia Bhatt, Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh and filmmaker Anurag Kashyap getting themselves injured on the sets of their respective films.

Alia, who is currently in Coonoor to shoot for her film Kapoor and Sons, hurt herself during a sequence. The 22-year-old later posted a picture of her injury on Instagram, saying: "There goes my celebration on #International YogaDay #bummer."

Anurag, who plays a negative character in his upcoming film Akira, recently met with a minor accident on the set.

His coactor Sonakshi Sinha took to Twitter to announce his injury. "Today the villain became a hero on the sets of #Akira! @anuragkashyap72 takes a fall, injures himself and gets right back up to shoot! Hero," she posted.

Shah Rukh also pulled a muscle while shooting for his film Fan in Croatia in March this year. He even informed his fans about his injury at the time.

"Serious Ouch time! Hamstring shaken, fortunately not stirred. Injections galore, running like a duck. Not that I don't like ducks but it sucks!" he tweeted.

However, the actor continued to shoot for Fan as well as the Rahul Dholakia directorial, Raees. The actor was also spotted walking with the help of a cane recently.

Next in line is Ranveer Singh, who injured his shoulder while shooting an action sequence for Bajirao Mastani a few months back.

He even tweeted from the operation theatre minutes before his surgery. Ranveer resumed shooting last month. While there were reports that his injury delayed the shoots, the actor says he had completed his sequence before the incident.

"The day I got injured was in fact the last day of the shooting of the action sequences and after the accident, Sanjay sir completed all the scenes that did not require me," he was quoted as saying.

Actor Katrina Kaif, too, fell off a horse in April while shooting for Fitoor. Although hurt, she immediately stood up and took the reins of the horse again.

"I had always heard of how hard working and dedicated Katrina is and I saw this during the shoot," the director of her film, Abhishek Kapoor, had said at the time.
