Mumbai, Nov. 28 -- Kalki Koechlin and Anurag Kashyap may have parted ways, but the duo still looks forward to working together in the future. In a recent interview, the actor said, "We still are very good friends. We have something that nobody can take away from us. We have a creative understanding and a lot of respect for each other. Hopefully we will work together someday."
It seems that of late, lots of actors have been open to working with their exes. "Earlier stars wouldn't discuss their relationships, but now, they talk about them openly. Film-makers don't hesitate to use this to their benefit when promoting films," explains trade expert Komal Nahta. He adds, "However, this doesn't ensure that the audience will like the film. It will do well only if the project is good."
When Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone teamed up for Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013), they were inundated with questions about their comfort level, given that they are an ex-couple. The former flames, who say they remain good friends, are now shooting for a film directed by Imtiaz Ali, and are rumoured to co-star in a Rohit Shetty project as well.
Even alleged ex-couple Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma have expressed no qualms about co-starring in Zoya Akhtar's next. As for Bipasha Basu, the actor recently started a chain of fitness centres with Harman Baweja. The two were dating up till recently, but are currently on a break. "We know each other since such a long time and we have a big team under us, which helps us get things done," she had said at the launch of the initiative.
While Bipasha publicly acknowledged her relationship with Harman, she never confirmed rumours of dating her Dum Maaro Dum (2011) co-star, Rana Daggubati. Incidentally, she is set to share screen space with him in designer Vikram Phadnis' directorial debut.
