Mumbai, Nov. 30 -- Rani Mukerji, who wore a resplendent white patiala salwar-kameez during her recent visit to Delhi, said that she chose the colour because late film-maker Yash Chopra, who Rani was known to be very close to, loved seeing her in white.
"I wore white to honour Yash uncle. I usually don't wear this colour, but he loved seeing me in white."
Rani, who's rumoured to be dating the late filmmaker's son, Aditya Chopra, couldn't stop gushing about Chopra senior. "Yash uncle was very special to me, so what better way to honour him than wearing the colour he liked the most. He always wanted his heroines to look beautiful. If he watches me from somewhere above, he'd love to see me in this outfit," says the actor.
Interestingly, she was accompanied by Aditya's mother, Pamela Chopra. While she refused to confirm her relationship with Aditya or the buzz about their wedding early next year, she was seen hugging Pamela, and the two seemed quite comfortable with each other.
Although the actor is spotted wearing traditional outfits quite often, she said she doesn't have any particular personal style. "I wear whatever I feel like. Actually, it depends on the occasion," she says. Rani may not be a fashionista herself, but she does have her favourites in Bollywood. "I really like Sonam (Kapoor) and Deepika (Padukone). Both have a great sense of style," she says.
