Mumbai, April 14 -- Ranbir Kapoor might finally be looking to move out of his Pali Hill family residence, Krishna Raj. The star currently lives in the Bandra (W) bungalow with his actor-parents, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh.
"He wants a big apartment for himself now, and he has spoken to a number of agents and builders for the same. He wants a place that is located somewhere between Bandra and Juhu," says a source close to the star. Since Ranbir has been out of the country (he is shooting for Anurag Kashyap's upcoming film in Sri Lanka), he hasn't had the opportunity to check out the houses that the agents have shortlisted for him.
"But now that he is in Mumbai for a few days (due to a break in the shooting schedule), he will visit all the places personally because he wants to finalise one soon," adds the source.
Incidentally, it was Rishi's comment about Katrina Kaif (Ranbir's alleged girlfriend) visiting their house frequently that urged the actor to take the big step to move out.
"Since his father doesn't approve of her coming over to their house so regularly, Ranbir thought it would be best for him to find a new place so that everyone's privacy is respected," says the insider.
We tried contacting Ranbir, but, predictably, he remained unavailable. When we called Rishi to confirm the news, he reacted sharply, saying, "How dare you call me? I am at work!"
