Ranbir-Deepika: Back again!

By HT

Mumbai, July 4 -- Last year, they came together for the first time after a much publicised break up - to star in the blockbuster Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. And now, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are set to team up again in Imtiaz Ali's next.

The duo, meanwhile, keeps making headlines for their offscreen camaraderie. So, how do they manage to be such good friends?

"We are mature individuals besides being great friends. We have gotten over the past. A lot has been said and written about it (their relationship) for the last seven years. (I keep getting asked) 'Is it odd to work with Deepika' or 'is it good to team up with her?' But we have already done a film together, which was successful and people really appreciated our chemistry. This was despite the fact is that we were working together after our break-up," says Ranbir. The actor is happy that Deepika has become "such a humongous" star. He says, "I am very blessed that I can work with an actor like Deepika, because she adds so much to a film with her beauty, mind, talent and sheer presence.     I am grateful that I'm getting an opportunity to work with her."

In about a week's time, Ranbir will begin shooting with Deepika, who has worked with Imtiaz in the past in Love Aaj Kal (2009), in Corsica, France. "It's a beautiful love story," says the Kapoor scion, adding that he is "extremely excited" about working with Imtiaz again. "He gave me a film (Rockstar; 2011) that's very close to my heart. It was a character that really changed my perception of acting and how an actor should approach movies," he says.
