Mumbai, Jan. 14 -- Saiyami Kher, who will be seen making her Bollywood debut alongside newcomer Harshvardhan Kapoor (Anil Kapoor's son) in film-maker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's upcoming love story, had a tough weekend.
The film crew had to shoot in a lake for some scenes starring Saiyami in Udaipur, Rajasthan, but the weather conditions made it difficult for the actor.
A unit member reveals, "The temperature had dropped to three degrees, and there was an intense cold wave in the area where we were shooting. In such severe conditions, Saiyami had to shoot for a water sequence from 10 pm to 3 am. It was extremely challenging for the team to work in such freezing temperatures, and more so for Saiyami as she was in the water for the duration of the shoot."
Although Mehra was worried, Saiyami convinced him that she would be able to go ahead with the sequence. The source says, "It was tough initially, but Saiyami didn't want to waste any time. And worried about whether it would get cooler, she felt that it was best that the shoot be wrapped up as per schedule."
When contacted, the director of the film, Mehra, confirmed the news, saying, "Given the temperature, it was an extremely challenging shoot. But Saiyami is very hardworking and dedicated. After shooting all night in those conditions, she has become an inspiration for the entire crew."
