Mumbai, June 1 -- For Rajkumar Rao, experimenting with film roles isn't a new thing. In fact, the actor enjoys taking risks. Now, we've been told that in his next - which also stars Vidya Balan and Emraan Hashmi - he will be seen playing a character who ages through three decades.
An insider reveals, "He starts out playing the role of a man in his 20s. Later, as his character ages, he plays a 30-year-old. Eventually, he is shown to be in his 40s in the film." To look the part, Rajkumar will be seen sporting grey hair.
"The salt-and-pepper look is similar to that of Varun Dhawan's from Badlapur. When Rajkumar was told that he would need to age on-screen, he wasn't resistant at all," adds the source.
Ask Rajkumar about this, and the actor says that apart from looking older, he also worked hard on getting his body language right.
He says, "To play one's own age is easier. However, to play a character that is years older, I needed to observe and adapt to the body language of a person that age. I had to bring in subtle nuances."
