New Delhi, Feb. 4 -- Looks like Rajkumar Hirani is in the mood to explore. And what better way to discover new places around the country than while on a recce for a film?
The filmmaker wants to go on a tour of 30 days before finally zeroing in on a destination to shoot an elaborate song for his next, P.K., which features Aamir Khan in the lead.
A source close to the production house reveals, "Raju wants to explore new places to shoot an important song with Aamir. It's rare that songs in his movies are elaborate, but this particular one is grand.
And to make it look even better, he wants to shoot at locations that haven't been seen on celluloid as much. So even if shoots have taken place in specific cities or towns in the past, he wants to find areas there that haven't been seen before by audiences on the big screen."
Hirani will be off in the first week of February on this assignment. Some key locations in his mind are Shimla, Kashmir, a few places in east India and Kerala.
The source says, "The song is supposedly a romantic number between Aamir and Anushka (Sharma) and that is why he is looking for unique locations. This recce will be longer than usual."
