Mumbai, March 12 -- Last week, AR Rahman especially flew down to Mumbai for his student Khamosh Shah, who is making his music direction debut with Anurag Kashyap's next production.
A source says, "Khamosh trained under Rahman at his music school and was actually his first student. That's the reason why Rahman came to the city to witness the final mixing of the album composed by him."
Rahman has been supportive of Khamosh and he wanted to encourage him. "Rahman told a few people that it was a proud moment for him to witness his student taking centre stage," adds the source.
Khamosh has got an eclectic mix of songs in his album and Rahman has been talking about it to his industry friends too, to spread the word. "Rahman has received a good feedback for Khamosh's work and he's hoping that the young composer goes on to bag some more good projects," adds the source.
When contacted, Khamosh confirmed the news and said, "I owe my musical learning to Rahman sir."
