Mumbai, May 2 -- For the past couple of months, R Madhavan has been shooting without a break for Aanand L Rai's Tanu Weds Manu Returns (TWMR). Simultaneously, he has also been finishing some portions of Sudha Kongara Prasad's next, in which he plays a retired boxer.
The actor is apparently so overworked that he has now decided to take a holiday with his wife, Sarita, and their son, Vedant. He will resume his work once he is back. "The process of juggling two characters had become taxing for Madhavan. Also, after wrapping up TWMR's shoot, he has been busy with its promotions. So, for a week, he just wants to put work aside, and spend time with family," says a source.
We're told that Malaysia is the actor's destination of choice since he owns a farmhouse in the country. The source adds, "He feels he will be able to relax there properly for a week, since it's like a home away from home."
When contacted, Madhavan confirmed the development, and said, "I desperately need a break. I think my family has forgotten my face. I need at least a week to sort out the stress, and then I will be ready to turn into a mean boxer again."
