New Delhi, Aug. 4 -- Actor Priyanka Chopra, who'll next be seen in a biopic based on the life of boxing champ MC Mary Kom, had to shoot some prime sequences of the film in a local market in Manali. Incidentally, it was one of the busiest markets in town, so shooting amid the crowd was an impossible task, and hence the entire market had to be shut down for some time to facilitate the shoot, says a source from the film.
"The local market had to be shut, for which special permissions were taken from the local governing bodies and market authorities. The cast and crew would shoot the film once the streets were cleared up but it was not an easy affair to stop the hustle and bustle of the market and the streets of the small town. The alleys were always full of locals as well as tourists," says a source from the sets.
"The locals were obviously star-struck and excited that the sports drama was being shot with such a big star in their small town. After a little coaxing, they lent their support and happily cooperated," adds the source.
