New Delhi, Dec. 3 -- After Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopraa and more, it's writer and adguru Prasoon Joshi, who picked the broom as part of the Prime Minister's Swachh Bharat Abiyan, last week, and earned the praise of the Prime Minister himself on microblogging site Twitter.
"Am really delighted by Prasoon Joshi's participation in Swachh Bharat Mission. It will add strength to the Mission (sic)," posted Modi.
Joshi, who has also penned the anthem for free, had taken the initiative to clean an area in Lalbaug, South Mumbai, last week. "The issue that I focused on was the lack of space for children to play because the surroundings are dirty. Cricket is a much loved sport, but often, kids face a lack of space, especially in the neighbourhood, due to garbage all around. Hence, I decided to clean this gully," says Joshi, who further nominated a host of celebs, including filmmaker Kiran Rao, spiritualist Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, actor Irrfan Khan, singer Shankar Mahadevan, sarod players Amaan and Ayan Ali Bangash and golfer Jeev Milkha Singh to carry forward the initiative.
