Mumbai, May 3 -- After becoming a popular name on TV, Prachi Desai made her Bollywood debut with the Farhan Akhtar-starrer, Rock On!!, in 2008. Post that, she did films like Once Upon A Time In Mumbai (2010), Bol Bachchan (2012) and Policegiri (2013).
The actor has not had any major release for two years now, apart from a small appearance in Ek Villian (2014; she starred in a song, 'Awari').
As she gears up for her upcoming projects, Prachi explains why she stayed away from the big screen, saying, "It wasn't a conscious move. There were a couple of films that I was supposed to do, but they didn't happen for various reasons."
However, the 26-year-old will be seen in the sequel to Rock On!!. "It is going to be a special project for both Farhan (Akhtar) and me as it was our first film together," she says.
Prachi will also star in a biopic on cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin, in which she will play the cricketer's first wife, Naureen. "We know about Azharuddin's life on the field, but not much about Naureen. I'm getting to know a lot about her from our director and writers," she says. She will be seen opposite Emraan Hashmi in the movie.
