Mumbai, May 10 -- A few days ago, he had planned to take his kids on a holiday to the US during their summer vacations. After attending IIFA awards, which were held in Florida this year, Prabhu Dheva had wanted to take his two sons - Rishi Raghavendra Deva and Aadit Deva - to Disneyland and other places in the area.
But since their passports got misplaced, the trio couldn't travel together. So, the choreographerdirector has now decided to take his kids to his native place near Mysore. The children will get to spend some time with their grandparents, who also reside here. "He really wanted to spend time with his kids, so when the Florida plans fell through, he decided to take them to his native place," says an insider.
Prabhu, who has spent more than a week with his kids and parents, is likely to be back in Mumbai by May 10 to start work on his upcoming Akshay Kumar-starrer. Later on, he will also start work on the Ajay Devgn-starrer Action Jackson that will be releasing towards the end of the year.
"Since Prabhu sir is generally caught up with multiple projects, he doesn't get much time to spend with his kids. However, he didn't want to miss out on their summer vacations," adds the insider.
On being contacted, Prabhu says, "Yes, I am near Mysore. We have come from (earlier planned) Florida to Mysore (sic)." But are his kids upset about not being able to go to the US? "Nothing like that. They just want to play regardless of the place they are in, so they are happy. Also, I had not told my sons about the planned holiday (to Florida). So they aren't aware of anything."
And when Prabhu returns to Mumbai in a few days, his kids will accompany him to spend some more time with their father.
