New Delhi, March 24 -- The rift between veteran actor Kabir Bedi and his daughter Pooja Bedi was made apparent at a recent event in Mumbai.
The father-daughter duo had been invited by designer Riyaz Gangji for the launch of a luxury German carmaker's new model, but Kabir refused to walk the ramp with Pooja, and her appearance was cancelled at the last minute.
"It's a family car, so we had invited both Kabir and Pooja. They had individually agreed to walk the ramp. But when Kabir learnt that Pooja was also going to walk the ramp with him, he refused as they have some family problem. I personally wanted Kabir, so I had to drop Pooja," says Riyaz.
The duo fell out last year, following a property dispute. Pooja had asked Kabir and his partner Parveen Dusanj to move out of the home which she claimed belonged to her late mother, Protima Bedi.
When contacted, Pooja reveals that Kabir refused to walk with her children too. "There have been a few occasions where we were asked to host together. In this particular situation, it being a family vehicle, they wanted my father, my children and I to walk the ramp, but he refused to walk with me and my kids. He wasn't comfortable, so we didn't do it," says Pooja.
Kabir says, "I love all my children. I'm not on good terms with Pooja, so I don't want to work with her."
