Mumbai, Oct. 16 -- Known to speak her mind, Parineeti Chopra says she's glad that, now, an increasing number of other actors in Bollywood are also voicing their opinions.
Last year, Parineeti lashed out at a journalist for a "sexist" comment made at a press conference. She says she is "proud and glad that actresses are not afraid to stand up to hypocrite journalists who demean them".
She even posted her views on Twitter: "Deepika speaks against a demeaning article. Kangana rejects any fake awards. Anushka sportingly writes about her lips. Sonakshi shows a finger to the fashion police. I showed an ignorant (sex and periods) journalist his place. (sic)"
When contacted, Parineeti says, "It's a good thing that actors are speaking up. The aim is not to be disrespectful to the media, but to voice our own discomfort.
