New Delhi, May 26 -- After his directorial debut, a biopic on the life of Olympian pugilist Mary Kom, filmmaker Omung Kumar had no plans to do a biopic again.
In fact, he already had three other projects in the pipeline. However, he changed his mind when he got an opportunity to helm a biopic on Sarabjit Singh, who was convicted by Pakistani court on grounds of being an Indian spy.
"I had three other movies lined up after Mary Kom. My second film was, anyway, going to take some time. I had some time in hand. Although I didn't want to do another biopic, the story was so superb that I decided to bend my roles and do it," says Omung, who will be co-producing the movie with Gangs of Wasseypur-fame actor, Zeishan Quadri.
