Mumbai, July 22 -- Model-turned-actor Nimrat Kaur, who is riding high on the success of her critically acclaimed film, The Lunchbox (2013), says her world has completely changed post the film's release.

In a free wheeling conversation, the 32-year-old actor from Noida talks about her upcoming projects, her willingness to venture into small screen, her relationship status and more.

On life post The Lunchbox    Undoubtedly, the film has been a game changer for me. It has opened the world, quite literally, for me. The international exposure that I got with this movie has been phenomenal. It released in 75 countries and I got film offers globally. It opened many avenues for me and I can't be happier.

On doing TV    I haven't thought about it, as nothing exciting has come my way. Doing TV projects requires a longer commitment, and I really have to be excited to take up something on the small screen. Having said that, I'm drawn towards doing plays. I'd love to balance films and theatre. I've worked in theatre and would love to get back to it. It has temporarily taken a backseat, unfortunately.

On being open to doing any kind of roles    There is no never in my life. I don't believe in sitting in a comfort zone. It is fine to err. I feel it is okay to try stuff and that's the point of being an artiste. I am open to doing anything so long as I connect with the project.

On relationship status    I am single and if tomorrow someone asks me out and I am interested, I will be open to it. Having said that, I am not chasing a relationship. My work is keeping me busy.

On upcoming projects    I am all set to shoot for an American miniseries, for which I will be leaving the country soon. Although I'm very excited about it, I can't talk about it in detail because I am bound by a contract. I will be back by the end of the year and then I'll be shooting for some films.    On being in touch with co-star Irrfan Khan    I connect with him once in a while. He's travelling a lot, and he is very bad at keeping in touch. So, [if we connect] it is mostly when he reaches out. He does share when he gets to know about our film releasing somewhere across the globe.
