New Delhi, April 29 -- His rags-to-riches story is old now, and making appearances at global platforms ain't new either to seasoned actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
We caught up with him at the premiere of a film at the recently-concluded International Indian Film Academy awards. While most stars walked in flaunting expensive designer wear, Nawazuddin rocked a washed-out-denim shirt that he paired with blue jeans and a black scarf around his neck. "I'm my own stylist today," smiled the 39-year-old, who has acted in films such as Kahaani (2012), Talaash (2013) and Gangs of Wasseypur. "Waise, main yeh kapde Mumbai mein bhi pehenta hoon... kuch aur bhi ache kapde laya hoon is baar."
On being asked the quintessential question as to why he skipped voting in the Lok Sabha polls and was at the IIFA awards instead, the Muzzaffarnagar (UP) man said, "I've never voted... And I don't even have a voter ID card... I'm not from Mumbai."
