New Delhi, Feb. 15 -- Known to be a method actor who delivers life-like performances, Nawazuddin Siddiqui went a step ahead to prepare for the role of a prisoner in his upcoming intense revenge drama, Badlapur.

Divulging more, a source from the film's unit says, "The hard work that Nawaz puts in his films is known to all, so as part of the preparation for his role in Badlapur he visited the Nasik jail to take inspiration from prisoners."

The source adds that it wasn't just a visit, Nawaz in fact mingled with the prisoners to understand their way of life. Confirming the same, the film's director Sriram Raghavan says, "Nawaz used to observe the inmates of Nasik jail and would strike a conversation with them as and when he could. In fact, gradually Nawaz became so comfortable that he had thought of staying back there for a week just to relax."
