New Delhi, April 25 -- Working with a veteran filmmaker like Subhash Ghai could be a dream come true for any new actor, and Mishti and Kartik Aaryan are no different.
With Kaanchi - which releases today - as her big Bollywood debut, Mishti feels she couldn't have asked for more. "I didn't have any knowledge about acting, and Subhashji is an institution for acting," says Mishti, adding, "Working with him was like going to a gurukul rather than shooting a film. I not only learned a lot about acting, but also about the process of filmmaking."
And it's not just Mishti, even Kartik echoes the same thoughts, "It's always a pleasure for an actor like me to work with a legend like Subhashji. Getting the lead role in his film is a once-in-a lifetime experience, and I consider myself lucky."
About the movie, he says, "The subject reflects the current scenario of the country, and people will relate to it. The film talks about fighting for your rights. Walking on that path, Kaanchi (the protagonist) becomes the voice of the nation and brings about a change."
