Mumbai, Jan. 31 -- Malaika Arora Khan has not only performed item numbers in her husband, actor-producer Arbaaz Khan's films, but has also done sizzling numbers for other productions.
However, Arbaaz says she might not continue to work "outside" for long. "When she did 'Munni badnaam hui' (her item song in his 2010 film Dabangg), she thought that since she started out with an item number, 'Chaiyya chaiyya', this will be -something similar. But soon, Sajid (Khan) and Farah (Khan) asked her to do songs for their films, which she did as she shares a good bond with them. I am not too sure if she would like to work outside anymore now," says the 47-year-old.
Khan says that he chooses Malaika for item numbers in his films because she is good, and not because she is his wife. "Malaika is a great dancer, everyone knows that. Whenever there is a situation where she can fit well in a film, not just me, but a lot of film-makers think of casting her," he says.
Arbaaz adds that seeing his wife perform item numbers does not make him insecure at all. "How does it matter if people feel that way? I am okay with the attention that she gets. I have known her for so long that these things do not make any difference," says Arbaaz.
