Mumbai, Jan. 2 -- She has ruled through the '90s, and is rightly called a diva. Now, Madhuri Dixit is set to make her big screen comeback with Dedh Ishqiya this month. But ask the actor, who is returning to the silver screen at a time when the standing of a film is proportional to how much money it makes at the box-office, and she seems unperturbed.
"This '100 crore club is just a coined term. When a film does well, everyone is happy," she says, pointing out that it's always the content that makes the difference. When asked if she's interested in regional cinema, especially Marathi movies (since she is Maharashtrian), Madhuri says, "If it's destined to happen, it will. I'm open to the idea as long as someone approaches me with a good story. I will treat the script like any other Hindi film. But I don't have any such plans right now."
Madhuri has been doing stage shows with her co-star of many films, Shah Rukh Khan. So, when will we see her team up with him or any of her other leading men from the past? She says, "Everyone's been asking me that. It depends." But currently, all eyes are on her return to the big screen. So how does she feel when she receives such adulation even today? Madhuri says, "It's wonderful. Your fans are what make you. Their love validates all these years of hard work."
