Mumbai, Aug. 20 -- If you live in Mumbai, and frequent areas like Bandra or Andheri, chances are, you've done your share of celeb-spotting - jogging on the Carter Road promenade; waving from atop the high walls of their private, seaside bungalows; even cycling down the road in the wee hours of the day. Of course, one never stops being amazed when one suddenly discovers an actor sitting at a nearby table at a cafe or a restaurant.
And that's precisely what happened when, last weekend, Madhuri Dixit went out for dinner with husband Dr Sriram Nene, her kids and her mother, to a popular Mexican restaurant in Oshiwara, Andheri. An eyewitness - also dining at the restaurant - tells us that Madhuri and her family were seated at a corner table, well out of sight of other diners. They finished their meal without being interrupted. "It was only when they got up to leave that people recognised her, and requested for autographs and selfies," the eyewitness says.
Known to always be obliging of fans' requests, Madhuri patiently signed autographs and posed for pictures. Meanwhile, her husband, Dr Nene -who must be used to such situations - ensured that the actor's mother was not left unattended. "Her mother was struggling to walk, and she wanted to wait for Madhuri so they could leave together. But, as they were not sure how long it would take, Dr Nene held her hand and escorted her to the car," the eyewitness adds.
