New Delhi, Jan. 23 -- From being a runner-up in the celebrity dancing reality show, to starring in the 2013 Bollywood film ABCD - Any Body Can Dance, Lauren Gottlieb has come a long way.
Currently, the dancer-turned-actor is not only shooting for director Remo D'Souza's next, alongside Varun Dhawan and Sharddha Kapoor, but has also signed a Punjabi film, Ambarsariya, with producer Ramesh Taurani, where she is playing the lead alongside actor Diljit Dosanjh.
Ask her why she chose to do a Punjabi film at this point in her career, and the 26-yearold says, "I chose it for couple of reasons. First, I always follow my intuition, and second, it felt like a great opportunity. I am excited to debut in another film industry, and play a key character opposite a big star in Punjab. I like the challenge of speaking in another language."
Meanwhile, there were reports that her co-star in ABCD, dancer-turned actor, Salman Yusuff Khan, was being relaunched as a hero in a production by Remo, which hinted that Lauren, too, might star in the film.
Ask her if she is a part of the project, and Lauren doesn't reveal much, "I am in talks with Remo about this other film, but it is in the initial stages and nothing has been finalised yet."
