New Delhi, Jan. 17 -- Often, after a much-hyped debut, actors find themselves without any project. We take a look at what some of the newbies, who entered Bollywood last year, are doing now.

DAISYSHAH

This 30-year-old was an assistant to choreographer Ganesh Acharya for 10 years until big daddy Salman Khan spotted her and cast her in the lead with him in Jai Ho. While the film did whopping business, Daisy has not yet bagged any project apart from appearing in a Kannada horror.

SURVEEN CHAWLA

At 30, television actor Surveen Chawla not only sizzled on the screen in the erotic thriller Hate Story 2 but even outshone fellow actor Jai Bhanushali, the male protagonist in the film.

Her power-packed performance got her a place in films like Creature 3D last year, before she won accolades this year for her role in Anurag Kashyap's drama thriller, Ugly.

KRITI SANON

Complete with her fresh looks, acting prowess, style and oomph, this 24-year-old Delhi-girl seems to have struck just the right chord with the audience. Not one or two, she has three big releases in the pipeline that includes a lead role alongside superstar Akshay Kumar in Singh Is Bling.

TIGER SHROFF

Jackie Shroff's son Tiger didn't quite seem like the alpha male in the Sabbir Khan directed Heropanti but he did manage to impress all with his super flexible dance moves. While many filmmakers including Remo D'Souza are reportedly in talks with him, the 24-year-old has not signed any project so far. There's also buzz that Tiger might team up with Sabbir once again.

VIJENDER SINGH

This boxing champ forayed into acting with Akshay Kumar's co-production, Fugly. The film bombed at the box office but the Olympic bronze medalist's character of a typical Jat brat complete with a Haryanvi accent left the audiences in splits. While the 29-year-old doesn't have another film in his kitty at present, he seems to have cut a road into showbiz nevertheless. Currently, he's seen as a judge on a reality show.

FAWAD KHAN

With both his television shows debuting in India as well as his first Bollywood film Khoobsurat coming around, Fawad Khan emerged to be the eye candy of the nation. The Pakistani actor has been flooded with offers from many eminent filmmakers coming on record expressing a wish to work with him. The 33-year-old, however, says that he's "waiting for the right role".

TAHIR RAJ BHASIN

Tahir did a cameo in Kismat Love Paisa Dilli back in 2012 but his debut in a lead role came in form of a negative character in Rani Mukerji's cop drama Mardaani. The audience loved to hate him as the cold-blooded mafia, and the 27-year-old was signed on by the talent division of a leading production house. He'll also be seen in Kushan Nandy's Babumoshai Bandookbaaz.

RAKUL PREET SINGH

This 24-year-old Delhi girl was a known face only in the Telugu and Tamil cinema circuit until she made it big with Divya Khosla Kumar's directorial debut Yaariyan, where she played the role of a college hottie. Rakul's act and fresh appeal won her praises and films, both. She'll next be seen in Ramesh Sippy's film, Shimla Mirchi.

MOHIT MARWAH

The nephew of producer Boney Kapoor and actor Anil Kapoor, Mohit was launched by Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar in his co-production Fugly, alongside a bunch of newbies - Kiara Advani, Vijender Singh and Arfi Lamba. However, inspite of his chiseled looks and critics calling him a 'natural actor', the 27-year-old has not yet been known to sign on any new project, so far.

SONALI RAUT

If you've forgotten her Bollywood debut and remember her more as the happy-go-lucky girl on Bigg Boss, then well, she's probably got what she wanted. The Himesh Reshammiya-helmed film, The Xpose might have failed to get her another Bollywood project, but it did manage to get her noticed, and bag her this popular reality show. Sonali was a popular contestant on the show and even reached its finale.

HUMAIMA MALICK

This Pakistani actor, who had already won accolades with the criticallyacclaimed film Bol (2011) made her Bollywood debut alongside Emraan Hashmi in Raja Natwarlal. Currently, she's working in Soham Shah's film Sher, and has also signed a threefilm deal with filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra.

HIMANSH KOHLI

This Delhi-born RJ-turned actor rose to fame with a stint on the small screen before debuting in Bollywood with the youth flick, Yaariyaan. Kohli was lapped up as the 'cute-n-romantic' guy on the block but the 25-year-old has no releases lined up so far, this year.

ZOYA AFROZ

This Lucknow girl worked as a child artist in innumerable Bollywood films including Hum Saath Saath Hain (1999) and Kuch Naa Kaho (2003) until she bagged her first lead role in The Xpose. The film bombed at the box office and didn't do much for Zoya's career, unlike her co-star Sonali Raut.
