New Delhi, June 2 -- Actor Kriti Sanon, who was never fond of reading, is now making an effort to pick up interesting literature from bookstores so that she gets into the habit of reading.
"From the beginning itself, Kriti hasn't developed the habit of reading but has been gathering interesting books for a while. She feels that it is very important for her to develop a habit of reading and has been trying hard to take out time for the same," says a source.
The actor also thinks that reading is an experience in itself and gives one a better perspective on things. "It's a great way to absorb and create different worlds. She feels that this habit can also help her when she is acting, as this way, she will be able to understand her character better," the source says.
She has quite a mix of genres in her personal library that range from fiction novels to non-fiction accounts and biographies. "I have always been more of a visual person. Given a choice, I would watch a film over reading a book. But of late, I have been picking up some interesting books. They help you broaden your horizon," says Kriti.
Meanwhile, the 24-year-old actor is busy shooting for her upcoming Rohit Shetty directorial, that also stars Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Varun Dhawan.
