Mumbai, Feb. 1 -- In the past couple of years, a lot of Bollywood actresses have not had more than one release a year. However, the likes of Anushka Sharma, Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor Khan or Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, are set to be seen on screen more frequently in 2015.
Katrina, who has had just two releases (Dhoom:3; 2013 and Bang Bang; 2014) in the last two years, will be seen in three films - Jagga Jasoos, Phantom and Fitoor - this year. When HT Cafe had asked her about her long absence from the big screen in 2014, she had said, "If in a certain year, your film hasn't released, there's no reason to stress. But if you have had a release and your performance could have been better, then go and have a chat with yourself in the mirror or with your director, and say, 'Let me try and improve my work and do better'."
Kareena, too, has had only one release in 2013 (Gori Tere Pyaar Mein) and another in 2014 (Singham Returns). This year, she will be seen in Bajrangi Bhaijaan as well as in special appearances in Brothers in Main Gabbar.
As for Aishwarya, who is finally ending her maternity sabbatical, Jazbaa and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil will mark her return to theatres after (Guzaarish, 2010). Apparently, the actor has decided to work in five to six films, for which the scripts have already been locked.
There's also Anushka Sharma, whose PK (2014) released over a year after Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola (2013). Now, she has three back-to-back releases, with NH10, Dil Dhadakne Do and Bombay Velvet, all set to hit theatres in 2015. "I feel nice when people say that it's going to be my year, but I want more from life than just having one year that goes well. I'm not a 'baniya'. I don't want to say, 'Arre iss saal mera turnover achcha ho gaya' (I had a good turnover this year)," she told HT Cafe in an earlier interview.
