New Delhi, May 24 -- Relationships in Bollywood are quite fickle - rumours of actors supposedly dating, having affairs or breaking up keep the gossip mills in action all year round.
However, in the last six months, half-a-dozen celebrity couples have hit a rough patch as far as their personal lives are concerned. We take a close look at them.
Not so well
KARISMA KAPOOR-SUNJAY KAPOOR: Apparently, Karisma Kapoor's husband, Sunjay Kapur, has filed a petition for the custody of their children, Samaira and Kiaan. Speculation also suggests that the actor is contemplating divorce. The two got married in 2003 but have been living separately for a while.
CHITRANGADA SINGH-JYOTI RANDHAWA: After a steady run since 2001, Chitrangada and her golfer husband Jyoti Randhawa hit the headlines, when reports that their marriage was on the rocks appeared in the media. The actor always denied such talks, but last month, reports confirmed that the couple, who had filed for a divorce by mutual consent, was granted the same in April.
LEANDER PAES-RHEA PILLAI: Tennis star, Leander Paes, and his partner, Rhea Pillai, have been together since 2005, and have a seven-year-old daughter, Aiyana. But now, things have gone awry as he has filed a petition in the family court in Bandra, seeking custody of his daughter. Rhea has accused Leander of cheating on her.
ANURAG KASHYAP-KALKI KOECHLIN: They met and fell in love while working together on Dev D (2009), and got married in 2011. But in November last year, Anurag Kashyap and Kalki Koechlin surprised everyone by issuing a statement that, they "are taking time off from each other to figure things out. We are not divorcing." The duo hasn't spoken about their relationship status in public, since.
HRITHIK ROSHAN-SUSSANNE ROSHAN: In December last year, Hrithik Roshan's statement about ending his marriage of 13 years, from wife Sussanne, sent shockwaves through the industry. This came after four months of speculation about the split. A few days ago, the two approached the family court in Bandra, and filed for separation by mutual consent.
All is well?
VIDYA BALAN-SIDDHARTH ROY KAPUR: For the past few days, rumours were rife that actor Vidya Balan's one-and-a-half-year marriage to entertainment honcho Siddharth Roy Kapur was on the rocks. Soon enough, she told HT that "we are happy with each other." She added, "There is no chink in the armour. Sorry to disappoint you." The 36-year-old also wondered "why people find it difficult to stomach that Sid and I are happy with each other."
ABHISHEK BACHCHAN AISHWARYA RAI BACHCHAN: They got hitched in the year 2007. But for the past few days, buzz on social media was that actor-couple Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan might be heading for a divorce. Abhishek took to Twitter to refute it. "Ok.... So I believe I'm getting divorced. Thanks for letting me know! Will you let me know when I'm getting re-married too? Thanks. #muppets (sic)," the actor tweeted on May 15.
