New Delhi, Jan. 12 -- Apart from his achievements as a filmmaker, Karan Johar is also known for his association with the fashion world - whether it is designing for a jewellery brand or collaborating with a designer to create a new line. The 42-year-old is now set to take his expertise in style to another level as the editor in-chief of the Lakme School Of Style (LSOS), a video magazine.
As part of this move, Karan will pick a team of more than two dozen fashion bloggers, with contributions from public relation officers and reporters as well. Apart from this, experts from the fields of fashion, beauty, lifestyle and technology will act as feature bloggers, and their inputs will be used in creating online videos about paradigm shifts and emerging trends in those particular areas. Also, this will be a space where many celebs will voice their opinions on what inspires them and share their own fashion secrets.
This also happens to be the first time Karan has taken up a responsibility that has him focusing on a digital media platform to mentor talent.
"I am excited about the power of digital, and the new wave of promising young talent that's coming to the fore through it. #fame's unique initiative, Lakme School Of Style, is not just India's first fashion video magazine, but also the perfect chance for us to discover top fashion talent. I look forward to making my digital debut with this," says Karan.
LSOS looks at not only bringing the latest trends and buzz from the fashion world, but aims at creating new age fashionistas and idols, too. The debut season of LSOS will span over six months, and the content will be served through digital videos on a daily basis.
School of Style will be available across several social as well as digital platforms, including YouTube (youtube.com/ fameschoolofstyle), Facebook(facebook.com/ famesos), WeChat, DailyMotion and other leading content publishers in India.
