New Delhi, March 1 -- Remember we told you how Delhi University is buzzing with Bollywood star visits these days? The latest to create a stir on the fest scene was Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan singer Kanika Kapoor, who performed at the Lady Irwin College's annual cultural fest on Friday.
The 33-year-old singer made the houseful crowd groove to her latest hit and others such as Baby Doll, Lovely and Kamlee. "Every February, I am going to have a song for boys like Baby Doll and Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan," she said.
The singer, who had the boys dancing to her tunes, added, "I was told that it is an all-girls college and only girls will be there, but I'm surprised to see the boys. I want to come back and perform here again."
Meanwhile, the recently held finale of the Sri Venkateswara College annual fest, Nexus, saw singer Mohit Chauhan's soul-stirring vocals strike all the right chords. Looking like a harbinger of love in a bright red jacket, the 48-year-old began his performance with Dooba Dooba, and went on sing Masakali, Ilahi and Tum Ho, among others. The singer then asked students, "Kya aapne kabhi kisi se pyaar kia hai?" The loud "Yeah" from the students set the mood for the other hits that followed.
