New Delhi, May 6 -- The world's premier football extravaganza begins in just over a month (June 12) in Brazil. Fans are in for several sleepless nights once the event commences, since the games will be telecast live in India in the wee hours.
But even as most catch the action on their TV sets, actor-producer John Abraham has decided to watch some of the matches in Brazil. Apparently, he will be flying to the country and will be cheering for his favourite team - Spain - from the stands at some of the venues hosting the event next month.
A close acquaintance of the actor reveals that John doesn't want to miss out on the experience of watching the 2014 FIFA World Cup in a country where football is such a popular sport. "His busy schedule won't allow him to be out of India for the entire duration of the tournament, which goes on for about a month. He's trying to adjust his schedule in such a way that his trip doesn't hamper his work," says the source.
However, the actor has not yet decided which matches he would like to watch when he is in Brazil. The source is also not sure whether he would be accompanied by his wife, Priya Runchal, on this trip. "No one knows if he plans to go solo, with his wife or friends," adds the source.
Despite repeated attempts to contact John, the actor remained unavailable for comment.
