Mumbai, June 18 -- For many young actors in Bollywood, buying a property is a dream. For Jacqueline Fernandez, her dream materialised in April, when she bought a duplex apartment in Bandra.
Now, the actor is looking forward to buying another property in Malaysia. However, sources reveal that it is not an investment.
She wants to gift the house to her mother, Kim, who is of mixed-Malaysian and Canadian descent. Apparently, her mother had always wanted to have a house in Malaysia.
"Jacqueline was on the lookout for a row house in Malaysia for the past couple of years. Few of her cousins live there, and they have been helping her find a house.
Jacqueline recently settled on buying a property on the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur," says a source close to the actor.
Interestingly, Jacqueline has surprised her mother by telling her about the new house. "She had taken her mum to the recently held Bollywood awards function in Malaysia. Jacqueline surprised her by showing her the property there.
Her mother has liked the place," says the source, adding, "She had to come back to Mumbai to promote her next with Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra. So, she was not able to complete the paperwork. She will soon visit Kuala Lumpur to finalise the deal."
While Jacqueline remained unavailable for a comment, her spokesperson confirmed the news.
