Mumbai, March 19 -- Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff made their acting debuts around the same time, and went on to work in numerous films (some even together). Now, their sons - Harshvardhan and Tiger respectively - are also set to enter the industry almost one after the other.
While Tiger's debut film, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, is releasing in May, Harshvardhan's film with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra will hit theatres next year. "Anil is senior to me, and now my son will be senior to his," laughs Jackie, who made his debut with Swami Dada (1982).
By then, Anil had made his mark in the industry with a cameo in Hamare Tumhare (1979), followed by films like Ek Baar Kaho (1980), Hum Paanch (1980) and Shakti (1982).
In the coming years, Anil and Jackie worked together in a number of films, and Jackie hopes that their sons will star together someday too. "We've done many films. Recently, I had a small role in Shooutout At Wadala (2013) after a long time. I hope our sons will work together some time and that people will remember them the same way," says Jackie.
Ask him about his son's debut film and he adds, "Tiger has prepared well. I am not thinking much about it. His film is coming on May 16. I will be able to say something after that."
